February 16, 2010 —> Day 47
I woke up with way more sick than before. I feel terrible. And, I have a phlegmy cough. It’s really gross. But the weather was beautiful today! David and I slept on Janss Steps. It was the first time in forever that it was hot enough to. This is a ladybug that landed on me when we were just about to leave. It cheered me up! Also, David bought me a sandwhich from the Nom Nom truck, which is my favorite and some kind of vietnamese lemonade that was sooo good. The downside of my day was studying too much because of midterms and not being able to really enjoy the weather…

February 15th, 2010 —> Day 46
This is what I did today in my boredom. I’m a dork. But anyways, I attempted to study, but my friend came over unannounced, so nothing got done. I was doing my laundry and all of a sudden I got a terrible headache, felt fatigued, and my throat felt strange. It wasn’t sore, but strange. So, I slept in intervals between doing laundry stuff and eventually went to bed early-ish feeling terrible. I didn’t do nearly ANY of the studying I had planned, which makes me nervous for the midterms that are coming up….

February 14th, 2010 —> Day 45
David and I spent the first part of Valentine’s Day studying, like we always do. We got on the bus to go to Soleil, and the food was AMAZING. The middle picture is the ceiling in Soleil, and the third picture is the escargot that I tried for the first time. It was SO GOOD. I had a seafood crepe and a dessert crepe also which were also amazing. I was so happy. David bought me a cute owl necklace that I really like, and we spent the rest of the night relaxing. It was a very good Valentine’s Day.

February 13th, 2010 —> Day 44
Today I went shopping with Joel and David. I bought cute black flats at H&M and white sneakers I need for volunteering. I also bought this really cute blue and white striped dress that I’m excited to wear for spring! After shopping in Santa Monica, we rushed back to school and got ready to morale for Dance Marathon. We went to Pi Kapp to preparty with Sami in tow, and went to Ackerman to go to Dance Marathon. It was pretty fun, I didn’t really like the DJ, but that’s okay. It was fun to see everyone, dance around and be a part of a good cause.

February 12th, 2010 —> Day 43
Went to Amigo’s again today and Josh has definitely improved in some aspects, which makes me happy. I came home to find a package from my mom, which had all these things! I was so excited! I’m glad she got me a cute hello kitty wallet because I’ve needed a new wallet for so long! The pens are really cute too. And I’m using the other hello kitty case thing to carry my disderi robot 3 camera. I didn’t do any work today, just topped the night off by watching Jurassic Park 2 with friends. Random, I know.

February 11th, 2010 —> Day 42
Today was extremely busy for me. In between LS3 and epidemiology, the nursing lounge was in a frenzy with 2nd year students as we tried to copy each others homework and understand what the hell was going on. Afterwards I went to my first day of volunteering for this HPV-clinic/research project. I really enjoyed it even though some of the things I had to do were gross and involved other people’s bodily fluids… but it didn’t really faze me since I know I’ll have to do that when I’m a nurse. I had to collect urine samples, do pregnancy tests, assist in pap smears and collect the samples from the pap smears, take patient’s vitals, and do paperwork. It was really enjoyable over all and I like all the people that work in the research office and clinic, they’re all really nice.
After I got home, I tried studying, but it didn’t really work. I ended up looking up pictures of japanese things and taking this picture of a japanese keychain that my mom bought me. Also, girls on my floor invited me to go out, and I wasn’t going to until they said they were going to the engineering frat. I have always wanted to go, so I threw on a dress and was out the door in five minutes. It was such a fun girls night, there was like 8 of us, and we just party hopped.

February 10th, 2010 —> Day 41
This is a picture of me being incredibly bored because I am lazy and don’t want to study. While “reading life science” I messed around on my boyfriend’s harmonica while he was out. He came home at night and we went to his frat for an impromptu party, which started out kind of slow because there was not a lot of people there, but actually turned out really fun!

February 9th, 2010 —> Day 40
It rained again today! So once again I donned my umbrella and rainboots to get to class. I am scheduled to go in for my first volunteering day at the HPV clinic on Thursday afternoon, so I am excited! Also, I realize I have to start getting my shit back together for midterms since yesterday I rolled around in bed whining about how I didn’t want to do anything, tumbled, and then moved 10GB of photos from my laptop to my external hard drive… which is kind of productive.

My boyfriend brought me a fortune cookie and this was the message inside. What an ironic fortune to get today because I’ve been thinking about a lot of things and have been in really weird moods… I’ve been kind of depressed actually for the past day or so.

I studied all day. I took a picture of this triceratops I lovingly grew from an egg in hot water in my broken brita filter. It reminds me of Jurassic Park and I want to watch Lost World. Also, David and I watched Laputa: Castle in the Sky, which was AMAZING. Miyazaki seriously can’t make a bad movie…
